Beautiful Baskets is a wholly owned and operated Queensland based company offering quality gift products on-line with delivery anywhere in Australia.  Webwings Internet Marketing identified an opportunity in the market for a quality gift supplier and established the Beautiful Baskets online shop.  

 

Once the Internet Strategy was developed, a website was designed and products selected for sale.  The website was deployed in late December 2005 and has now been operating for 12 months.  

 

For an online shop, just as it is for a traditional retailer, being visible to consumenrts is critical.  So a search engine optimisation strategy was developed.  The first priority was to establish a competitive positioning in the search engines.  Today a search on the most popular phrase "gift baskets" lists Beautifulbaskets #1 on MSN, #2 on Yahoo and #2 on Google.  The next important measure is enticing potential buyers to the site.  This chart illustrates the excellent results.
